Townhouses and even condominiums are a great way to own a home, gain appreciation, but avoid so many of the headaches of exterior maintenance, lawn care, and of course we are in Minnesota…. Snow removal! There are a variety of styles of town homes available in the Eden Prairie area. The most common style is side by side, usually in buildings with 4-8 units, they traditionally have private entrances, and private garages. There are also styles that vary in floor plan, size, and amenities as well. Prices can range from just over $100,000 to even $500,000 for executive style town homes with over 3,000 finished square feet.
The Home Owners Association Fee’s, commonly paid monthly referred to as HOA’s which range from $150 to $500, the difference is depending on what they include for utilities, common maintenance, and staffing needs, it also depends on the size of the home, the shared homeowner amenities (possibly pools, party rooms, gym facilities, common hallways, or even elevators in some condominium buildings as well)
