Eden Prairie, Minnesota

The City of Eden Prairie, Minnesota has been recognized as a great place to work and raise a family for many years and is consistently ranked among MONEY magazine’s “Best Places to Live.” In 2010 MONEY magazine named Eden Prairie the #1 Best Place to Live in America, and the City has now occupied the top three spots on MONEY’s list. Eden Prairie is located in close proximity to the Minneapolis – St. Paul metro area providing a perfect balance of small town feel and big city amenities.

Chanhassen, Minnesota

Chanhassen, Minnesota, no. 4 on Money’s Best Places to Live, has grown a lot since it was first settled in the 1850s. Today there are nearly 30,000 residents in this suburb of Minneapolis. With a population of 22,952 per the 2010 census (25,448 population estimate and 9,267 households as of April 1, 2016), Chanhassen has 14,427 acres in 24 square miles. Most of the city is located within Carver County; however, 154 acres in eastern Chanhassen are located in Hennepin County. There are twelve beautiful, clean lakes, wholly or partially located within the city limits: Christmas Lake, Harrison Lake, Lake Ann, Lake Lucy, Lake Minnewashta, Lake Riley, Lake St. Joe, Lake Susan, Lotus Lake, Rice Lake, Rice Marsh Lake, and Silver Lake. The city offers a wide variety of housing types, from apartments and starter homes to estates and lake properties. Approximately 73% of the homes in Chanhassen are owner-occupied. Chanhassen’s population includes many young families – 35% of the population is under 24, and the median age is 39.4 years.

Minnetonka, Minnesota

The citizens of Minnetonka have a great deal of pride in their city. There are dozens of ponds and three major creek corridors in the city. In addition, careful planning has allowed the city to maintain a significant amount of open space, park land and wetland areas. These characteristics help make Minnetonka truly a special community. The community center, a part of the civic center complex on Minnetonka Boulevard and Williston Road, houses an active senior citizens program, as well as a beautiful banquet room and meeting rooms for the public’s use. The city has numerous recreation programs and more than 40 public parks available to residents. In addition, there are many opportunities for citizens to participate in community recreational and volunteer activities.

Bloomington, Minnesota

Bloomington is the fourth largest city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is located in Hennepin County on the north bank of the Minnesota River, above its confluence with the Mississippi River. Bloomington lies 10 miles (16 km) south of downtown Minneapolis. Bloomington has more jobs per capita than either Minneapolis or Saint Paul, due to the United States’ largest enclosed shopping center, the Mall of America. The headquarters of Ceridian, Donaldson Company, HealthPartners and Toro, and major operations of Express Scripts, Seagate Technologies and Wells Fargo Bank are also based in the city.
